What is the History of Final Fantasy?

What is the History of Final Fantasy

On September 19, 1983, a small company called Square was founded in Yokohama, Japan, by Musashi Miyamoto. At the time, Square was merely a computer games software division of den Musha, a powerline construction company owned by Miyamoto’s father. In those days, video games development was usually developed by a single person responsible for creating every aspect of the game.

Miyamoto’s philosophy was different. However, he thought it would be more efficient to have graphic designers, programmers, and professional story writers working together on common projects. And so, Square’s first two titles, the death trap and the deathtrap 2, were both designed by a team of talented employees who focused on different aspects of game design.

This team was led by part-time employee Hironobu Sakaguchi despite an initial reluctance to develop video game consoles. Square eventually began development for Nintendo’s Famicom in December 1985.

By September of the following year, Square departed from Denya’s shot and became an independent company officially named square co Ltd. Final Fantasy was released in Japan on December 17, 1987, and made its way to western territories three years later.
